When it comes to creating a portfolio, there’s quite a lot of freedom to present it however you like. Where a CV is best kept simple and professional, a portfolio has more scope to reflect your personality and can be much more creative, if you want it to be.
Offering a wide range of contemporary creative subjects, more than 100 students graduated from LCCA last year. We caught up with some of our alumni and asked them about their time as a student at LCCA.
So you've landed an interview for your dream job in fashion – congratulations! The fashion industry is worth billions of pounds, with a wide range of exciting careers available including fashion design, merchandising, marketing and more. LCCA students recently had the opportunity to visit the YKK showroom, thanks to fashion programme leader, Claire Netter. As the world’s largest zip manufacturer, it’s reported that YKK makes around 1.2 million miles of zip every year.
With so many job seekers competing against each other for various roles each day, their rate of success lies in demonstrating whether or not they have the right skills for the job. While the requirements of each job vary, and specific skills and knowledge are needed, there are some attributes and skills that employers look for in almost every industry.
