LCCA, in partnership with its validating body, is committed to the continuous enhancement of the quality of the student experience and learning opportunities, adopting a rigorous and robust approach to ensuring the academic standards of the awards available.

All courses at LCCA are awarded by the University for the Creative Arts (UCA). All LCCA students are registered with UCA at enrolment and are subject to the rules, regulations and processes of the University

LCCA work with colleagues at UCA to ensure that courses meet the requirements, policies and processes are in place and that the student experience is a positive one. Please refer to the UCA website for further details on their processes related to quality. 

LCCA also works to ensure that courses, policies, and procedures are in line with the Quality Assurance Agencies Quality Code for Higher Education.

Quality Team & Contact

The Quality Team is made up of three members of staff:

• Katy McGowan – Head of Quality
• Louise Tomkinson – Quality Assurance Officer 
• Melania Lingurar - Quality Assurance Officer

The Team is responsible for the management and implementation of the following:

• course validation and annual monitoring
• assessment-related processes such as mitigating circumstances and academic misconduct
• student complaints
• student appeals and academic misconduct
• LCCA’s governance structures
• student engagement activities such as surveys and Boards of Study
• supporting learning and teaching processes
• internal and external audits
• staff development activity
