Dr. Helen Ismael is an accomplished leader in higher education with extensive expertise in academic management, teaching, and curriculum innovation. As Dean at the London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA), she oversees undergraduate Business Management and Hospitality programs and the postgraduate MA Fashion Business & Management. Her leadership focuses on implementing innovative strategies to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their careers.
With a PhD and MSc in Marketing from Brunel University and a BSc in Business Management and Education from the University of Roehampton, Dr. Ismael is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is pursuing a Senior Fellowship. She has consistently driven improvements in student satisfaction, NSS results, and retention and progression rates, reflecting her commitment to academic excellence and student success.
Dr. Ismael’s previous leadership roles at the Global Banking School and London South Bank University demonstrate her dedication to fostering inclusive, high-quality learning environments. Committed to empowering students and fostering success, she continues to champion transformative education that prepares graduates for a competitive global workforce.

Swati Dabas is the Course Director of BA Hospitality Management and brings to the role her extensive experience in Hospitality and Business Administration.

She has spent over 25 years working within academia and the hospitality industry. She also has a keen interest in research.

Her background is in Hospitality and Business Administration with dual specialisation in Marketing and Human Resources. She has also worked with various international hotel brands such as Taj and Hyatt in various managerial roles in sales and marketing, events and hotel operations.

As a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, she constantly mentors and supports her colleagues and maintains a substantial network of industry relations to create experiential learning opportunities for LCCA students.

Richard George is the Course Director for the Hospitality Management program at LCCA. He obtained his PhD in Marketing from the Faculty of Commerce at the University of Cape Town (South Africa), a MA from Exeter University, and a BA (Hons) degree at Sheffield Hallam University. His research interests are in the field of tourism management: travel influencers, tourism crime-safety, and entrepreneurship in tourism. He is the author of Marketing Tourism & Hospitality: Concepts and Cases, 2e (Palgrave Macmillan, 2025) and numerous research papers on tourism topics. He has consulted widely, particularly in South Africa on topics ranging from branding a wine farm in the Western Cape to advising tourism-crime safety measures at Table Mountain National Park in Cape Town.

Paul is a London-based designer, academic, and tailor whose career spans Design,  fashion education, independent publishing, and costume design. He is the co-editor and co-founder of CRAP zine, a celebrated queer publication exploring identity, fashion, and subculture. Stocked internationally in over 20 stores and held in prominent archives including the Centre Pompidou’s Bibliothèque Kandinsky and the Tom of Finland Foundation, CRAP zine has become a vital cultural document for contemporary queer expression and fashion discourse.

Alongside his editorial work, Paul is the founder of Parc London, a menswear label known for combining tailoring with sportswear influences.

Paul has held senior design roles at House of Holland and King & Tuckfield, leading creative direction and collaborations with brands such as Coca-Cola and Speedo. His academic leadership includes senior positions at LCCA, JCA, and Middlesex University, where he’s shaped the next generation of designers.

His costume work includes tailoring and design for global icons including Beyoncé, Kylie Minogue and Sam Smith. Paul holds an MA from Central Saint Martins and a BA from Northampton University.

Gabriel H. S. Tsang is a Lecturer dedicated to nurturing the next generation of design and media professionals, equipping them with the skills and inspiration to excel in a global industry.

With over 16 years of expertise in teaching visual culture, graphic design, and media studies, Gabriel provides his students with knowledge and practical experience. Before transitioning to academia, he built a successful career in the design industry. Starting as a graphic designer in Minneapolis, he managed branding projects for prominent clients. He later founded Tupos Design Company, specialising in branding and marketing promotions across Southeast Asia. His professional background offers invaluable real-world insights that he shares with his students, inspiring them to pursue dynamic career paths in design and media.

In addition to teaching and design, Gabriel is a visual artist specialising in painting and illustration. His works have been published internationally, with features on global streaming services and crowdfunding platforms. His artistic pursuits enhance his teaching, providing students with unique perspectives on the intersections of creativity, culture, and communication.

Sadie Clayton trained in fashion design, specialising in copper metal and showcasing at LFW, PFW, MFW and SFW. Fascinated by design and innovation, Sadie took these foundations to explore the creative boundaries between art, fashion and technology, presenting collections at the Royal Academy of the Arts in a holographic form and creating bespoke content with Adobe films. She has also produced a number of sculptures for and with humanoid AI robots. Sadie has worked with various high-profile clients during her career, such as Tate Modern and Tate Britain, The Ivy, Sipsmith Gin, M&C Saatchi, Art Fund, Chanel 4 and Bonhams, to name a few. 

Embraced by the art world as a creator and innovator, Sadie has been involved with projects for London Craft Week, Singapore Design Week, Art Basel Miami, Design is Great NYC, delivering workshops/talks/panels to inspire and educate the audiences around the world.

Curtis Brown represents Sadie for TV & Radio commercials, as well as having her own creative studio in east London where she creates her copper metal sculptures and commissions for exhibitions and clients. 

Sadie has taught at universities in London and the North, and has led a sustainability project to the students at the Pearl Academy in New Delhi, India. Sadie is also a member of the FACE community – ‘Fashion academics creating equality’ within institutions.
