London Film Festival – Oct 4-15

This is the event’s 61st year and is the UK’s largest celebration of internationals films. Check out the best movies from Cannes and the US right here. There are also films from a wide range of categories.

If you’re a fan of celebs, plenty will be on the red carpet for you to feat your eyes upon.

 

London Literature Festival – Oct 13th  - Nov 1st

Over these dates, the Southbank Centre will be packed with talent. Poets, writers, and speakers will all get together for two weeks of readings, talks, and workshops.

Fun things to do include watching an interview with Phillip Pullman about his latest book, and a discussion with actor turned author Tom Hanks about his leap into writing.

The festival is currently in its 11th year.

 

China Changing Festival – Oct 7th

Head to the Southbank this October if you enjoy all things Eastern. This festival will be showcasing the best of Chinese artwork.

If you love learning about history, there’s also a movie screening ‘Around China With a Movie Camera’.

On the day, you can also enjoy contemporary Chinese culture through dance, music, and talks such as a discussion on the role of women in modern China.

With all this culture, there’s plenty for everyone!

 

Silent Halloween Disco Boat – Oct 27th

If you don’t mind being spooked out, enjoy something different this Halloween. Climb aboard the Dutch Master vessel and experience a night-time ride down the Thames. Enjoy all of London’s best attractions as you sail the night away.

The silent disco means you get to pick what tunes you want to listen to and dance away.

Fancy dress is encouraged!
