London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA) held a guest speaker event with Karolina Cardullo, Product Developer.
Students from the HNC/D Fashion and Textiles and BA (Hons) Fashion Design courses, attended the event titled ‘Career Paths in the Fashion Industry and How to Find your Niche’.
Karoliina Cardullo has worked as a Fashion Designer and Product Developer for renowned brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Burberry and Reiss. She shared her experiences with LCCA students and spoke to them about the multitude of career opportunities that exist are within the fashion industry.
Karoliina showed them the various development stages involved in making a fashion collection. It was great for students to see the overall design process, from the initial sketches and garment creation, to the end result.
LCCA students were made aware of the various career pathways available to them and were encouraged to have confidence in their own strengths, and to always be receptive to new ideas and opportunities.
Overall, the wealth of information provided by Karoliina, together with the career advice and behind the scenes details, was invaluable and well-received by attendees.
