This week, London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA) hosted the first edition of their Employers Engagement Forum series. Led by Carmen Andreica, Careers and Student Services Manager at LCCA, the forum is designed to be a source of support and feedback for LCCA staff on student development, curriculum and employability.

During the meeting the LCCA team discussed how to enhance graduate employability based on feedback and advice from employers'. A main focus in the meetings will be students’ employability skills and ensuring that projects are incorporating practical elements that will help to boost students’ future careers. The team also discussed skills gaps amongst graduates and industry challenges.

Lecturers at LCCA have learnt first-hand from employers what competencies they require from graduates and have identified opportunities to develop employability-focused activities within the curriculum.
