The licence agreement between the two parties has in fact been recently renewed for the second time since it was first inked in 2011. Lacoste and Marchon have announced “the long-term, multi-year renewal of their worldwide licence deal,” without specifying its term.

The agreement covers the design, development, production and exclusive distribution of Lacoste’s eyeglasses and sunglasses collections. “Eyewear has not only bolstered [Lacoste’s] successful growth trajectory, but also been increasingly involved in [the brand]’s partnerships and special projects, such as the launch of the Novak Djokovic and Roland Garros eyewear collections and the sponsoring of the prestigious Miami Open and Rolex Shanghai Masters tennis tournaments,” stated Marchon in a press release.

“Eyewear is an important category for our brand, one which perfectly complements the Lacoste look in terms of style, innovation and creativity. We have ambitious plans in this category, one in which our brand has a lot of potential,” said Catherine Spindler, Lacoste’s chief brand officer. Via FashionNetwork
