LCCA host J-Style Japanese Fashion Exhibition

In the final week of September, LCCA hosted the J-Style Japanese Fashion exhibition at The Gallery in 9 Holborn.

There, photographers Emily Faulder and Saoirse Clohessy were joined by illustrators Madeleine Allcock and Tania Piccolo, and designer and illustrator Roxie Sweetheart. Fashion brand, ShinkuRose, were also at the exhibition.

LCCA students visit news broadcasting centre at the Shard

Last month, creative media production students had the exciting opportunity to visit the Al Jazeera headquarters in London’s Shard.

As one of the largest news organisations and current affairs channels in the world, Al Jazeera reaches 270 million households across 35 different countries. Their broadcasting centre is situated on the 16th floor of the Shard and offers fantastic views over London.

Students from Germany pay visit to LCCA

Several students and a teacher from Pharms Berlin Sued School recently paid a visit to LCCA as a part of their one-week study trip to London.

Business Development Manager, Garvin Fisher, gave them a tour of the campus and introduced them to student life at LCCA. Programme leaders also spoke about their courses, and the students took part in a workshop organised by fashion programme leader, Silja Manninen.

De-Construct: an LCCA and BPP photography exhibition

A select number of LCCA photography students transformed scenes from an everyday building site into art through the lens of their cameras. Together, they proudly presented their interpretations on the theme of construction, celebrating the fourth year of partnership between LCCA and construction consultants, BPP.

BA Graphic Design students visit Somerset House

Last month, LCCA students studying BA Graphic Design had the opportunity to visit the Venturing Beyond: Graffiti and the Everyday Utopias of the Street exhibition at Somerset House.

The exhibition argues against the view that graffiti is a glorified from of vandalism. Programme leader, Dragan Pavlovic, organised for students to attend. Here’s what some of the students had to say about the exhibition.
