Our CPD-accredited professional development course in digital graphic design will acquire you with an understanding of the design process. You will learn how to plan and develop ideas and how to use images and text in design work for the
purpose of communication. Designed primarily for beginners, the course is composed of six modules that together will provide a good basis for a novice graphic design practitioner. The modules can be taken separately if you feel you already have skills included in previous modules, however, bear in mind that the units are set on a timeline and complement each other with knowledge and experimentation.
In each module, you will work on short tasks and one core assignment. When all the assignments are combined, you will have enough work to present a varied portfolio.
Each module will focus on a different aspect of the design process, including basic layout, composition and design, typography and advanced use of colour. By the end of the course, you will have a solid understanding of various elements of graphic design and you will be able to produce logos, layouts and other graphic applications on a basic level.
