COURSE OVERVIEW


Our Foundation (Year 0) Creative Business is designed to prepare students for an undergraduate degree. This course focuses on exploring innovation and problem-solving in the context of creative business. Covering key business, management and marketing skills, you’ll emerge from the course with the confidence and understanding to take your education to the next level.

You’ll engage in a series of independent and group projects, working on live briefs and developing essential business and communication skills. After exploring the range of pathways within creative business, we will support you in choosing which area you’d like to specialise in at undergraduate level.

COURSE DETAILS


The 28-week level 3 programme, divided across three stages, is designed to support you in developing key language and creative business skills ready for undergraduate study.

Stage 1

Learn the basics of business, management and creative practices through a group project.

Stage 2

Provides understanding of the basics of marketing, communication and branding through a live project.

Stage 3

Enables you to confirm, develop and focus on your specialism and skills. It consists of three units: the Creative Business Project and English language, Research and Study Skills, and Introducing Visual Culture. In combination, the three units will support you in understanding the practical, logistical, theoretical and contextual underpinnings of their chosen specialism in the business school.

Graduating with a business management degree will provide you with a versatile set of skills, suited to a number of different positions. After graduation, you could consider the following roles:

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS


ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The standard entry requirements* for this course are one of the following:

  • 64 new UCAS tariff points, see accepted qualifications
  • Merit, Pass, Pass at BTEC Extended Diploma
  • Pass at UAL Extended Diploma
  • 64 new UCAS tariff points from an accredited Access to Higher Education Diploma in appropriate subject
  • 24 points from the International Baccalaureate, see more information about IB entry requirements

And four GCSE passes at grade A*-C and/or grade 4-9 including English (or Functional Skills English/Key Skills Communication Level 2)

 

Note:

Other relevant and equivalent level 3 UK and international qualifications are considered on an individual basis and we encourage students from diverse educational backgrounds apply.

*We occasionally make offers which are lower than the standard entry criteria, to students who have faced difficulties that have affected their performance and who were expected to achieve higher results.
