Whether you're a new applicant for this September, have changed your mind since applying, or think your results will be different to what you were predicted, Clearing and Adjustment could be for you. 

  • We’ll call you to talk through your options. We may even be able to offer you a place
  • On A-level results day we’ll call you to confirm your offer or discuss other options

HOW DOES CLEARING WORK?

You can take a look at which of our courses are in Clearing by looking at our website and also at UCAS.com. If you are in Clearing, your status in UCAS Track will show this.

Once you’ve found the ideal course for yourself, get in touch with us to discuss your options and get a provisional offer. Make sure you have your UCAS Personal ID on you and your exam results when you call us.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I'VE BEEN OFFERED A PLACE IN CLEARING?

You should receive email confirmation of your provisional offer within a few hours of speaking to us

Once you have referred yourself to LCCA on UCAS, we will process your application. Please note that during this time we are extremely busy, but we will do our best to get this processed for you as soon as possible and confirm your place with us.

Once we have confirmed your email, please wait for an email with all the details. You will then be able to apply for accommodation.

Please also contact student finance and let them know that you will now be joining LCCA and provide course details.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I'VE BEEN OFFERED A PLACE IN CLEARING?

  1. You will receive email confirmation of your provisional offer within hours of speaking to us
  2. Once you have referred yourself to LCCA we will process your application. Please bear in mind that we will be extremely busy as we have a lot of applicants interested in LCCA - so it might take some time before we manage to confirm your place through Clearing. However we will work through the weekend to try and get your place confirmed at LCCA as quickly as possible.
  3. Once we have confirmed your offer we will update you and you will receive a formal offer email and letter from us.
  4. You will now be able to apply for your accommodation.
  5. If you are applying for Student Finance, please contact your Student Finance team to let them know of your new course details.

CLEARING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION'S


APPLYING THROUGH CLEARING 

Q) I’ve been offered a place through Clearing. When will I receive my confirmation email?

We will send you a confirmation email on the day we make you an offer. Make sure you check your spam folder too! If you haven’t heard from us by the following morning, call us on 020 3435 4642.

 

Q) I’ve applied through Clearing on UCAS but haven’t heard anything. What should I do?

Log into UCAS Track and check that you have added the course and institution details to your Clearing application. Some updates occur overnight, so please allow 24 hours for your application to be processed.

 

Q) I’m worried about not making the conditions of my fast track offer?

We may have made you an aspirational offer based on the merits of your application and made the offer based on our standard entry criteria. If you have referred yourself after receiving a provisional offer and you do not meet the conditions of your offer, or miss a grade, we will re-assess your application on results day.

We examine your application with the programme team in the same conditions of Clearing to see if we can still accept you onto the course.

If not, we will always look to see if we can offer a suitable alternative. Therefore, you do not need to apply again through Clearing if you do not meet the condition of your offer.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHANGE MY MIND? 

Q) Can I change my course?

Yes. Call our Programme Consultants on +44 (0)20 3435 4642 and your request will be processed by our admissions team as soon as possible.

 

Q) Can I defer?

If you already have an offer in place for September 2018, you can defer your place until 2019.

If you haven’t applied for 2018 and want to study at LCCA this September, you can apply via UCAS.

 

Q) Can I withdraw?

Yes. Call our course enquiry hotline on +44 (0)20 3435 4642 and your request will be processed by our admissions team as soon as possible. 

 

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Q) I’ve received my confirmation email. What shall I do now?

You have 24 hours to confirm your offer through UCAS Track. You’ll need to log onto your UCAS account to confirm this before the offer expires.

 

Q) When will I find out about enrolment?

After you have accepted your place to study at LCCA, we will send information about enrolment and starting your degree to the email address you used to apply through UCAS. There will also be a link that will give you the date, time and location of your course introduction.

 

LOANS, FINANCE AND MONEY MATTERS

Q) Can I still apply for a student loan?

Yes. You will need to call your relevant Student Finance organisation. Make sure that you have all paperwork and identification to hand as it will help speed up the process.

Q) I’ve already applied for student finance, what shall I do next?

We will let the relevant student finance organisation know that you have confirmed your enrolment. But you must let them know if you have changed courses, your fees have changed, or if you have changed institutions. Login to your student finance account to make these changes.

 

Q) Do I need to pay a deposit?

UK and EU students

If you are a UK or EU student and have a student loan then you don’t need to pay a deposit.

If you are self-financing you will need to pay a deposit at enrolment.
