The HND in Hospitality Management is a work related higher education qualification that leads to a career in Hospitality industry. It is a practical qualification that is an alternative to a foundation degree and also gives the opportunity for individuals to combine part-time work and study. HND Hospitality provides opportunities for learners to focus on the development of higher-level skills in a hospitality management context, including investigatory and research skills focusing on management issues within the context of hospitality, leisure or tourism.

WHAT WILL I EXPERIENCE?
With clearly defined routes of progression each student will be taught a rigorous curriculum in association with local and national industry partners. Successful students will progress to the HND in Hospitality and after this they are able to join the final year of a BA (Hons) Hospitality degree in the form of a top-up course.
The key outcomes include a good grasp and understanding of:
- Hospitality Industry
- Finance and Marketing in Hospitality sector
- Food and Beverage Operations Management
- Human Resource Management in Hospitality sector
- Travel and Tourism and Tourist Destination.
You can progress to a degree programme in the second or third year. Alternatively you can move into work in a supervisory or junior management position within hospitality, the licence trade, food and beverages or leisure and tourism industry. You could also join a management training programme with a large international hospitality provider.
Age: minimum 18 years
- UK applicants: four GCSEs (C or above).
- Minimum two A levels (D or above) any NARIC recognised equivalence
- IELTS 5.5 (min. 5.0 in each component)
- PTE 51 (min. 51 in each component)
- TOEFL (IBT) 87 – min. L-21, R-22, S-23, W-21
Mature students: (over 21) are accepted subject to satisfactory literacy and numeracy tests, work experience (if applicable) and a strong personal statement
