Our Professional Training Course ‘Fashion Promotion and Marketing’ will introduce you to the basics of promotional and marketing activities within fashion industry, develop your understanding of the concept of Fashion Promotion in the wider context of the fashion industry, exploring the traditional promotional activities and the emergence and evolvement of new promotional methods and strategies. It provides you with the chance to develop an overview of the fashion promotion and marketing theories, examining professional roles and the interaction of organisations, media and consumers. Individual studies will include analytic research into aspects of promotional or marketing activities of current practitioners, as well as assimilating the knowledge gained to synthesise marketing or promotional material relevant to an identified campaign, your own design portfolio or more speculative proposals leading towards new directions in your own work.


Material is introductory and designed to impart basic awareness of the topic. Fundamentals and key issues will be addressed. Our course is aimed for individuals looking to learn specific theories and principles and research skills as well as knowledge and understanding of professional requirements of fashion industry to boost their CV and awareness. This course provides an understanding of the way fashion promotion and marketing industry works, how promotional activities are planned and how to create a marketing campaign for a chosen brand. You will learn specific theories utilised by marketing professionals to gain a deeper understanding on how to plan a marketing and promotional campaign for a chosen brand and become a more astute customer as well as a fashion business professional enabling you to understand and see how the promotional industry around us works either from a consumer perspective or from a business perspective.


The course will introduce you to the fundamentals of fashion marketing and promotion, what are the 4 P’s of marketing in fashion and how different market levels use different promotional activities aligned with their brand. You will learn the frameworks and theories to enable you to plan a marketing and promotional campaign for a chosen product or service within fashion industry.


The course covers the basics of fashion promotion and marketing theories and practice and how to successfully plan a promotional campaign for a chosen product or service. You will gain an understanding of the components needed to create a promotional or marketing plan and will gain confidence in analysing a promotional activity for a chosen brand. You can proceed into creating a promotional campaign for your own or a chosen brand under the direction of your tutor utilising the learnt theories and frameworks.
