LCCA were the invited academic partners of the competition which was held by The British Council in November. We are now hosting the return visit of the fashion design and fashion accessory award winners at our Soho campus.
We are delighted to welcome young designers Nereku and Viňa to exhibit their work at the LCCA gallery space and to also experience some of our classes here on campus.
Please join us to celebrate the second phase of this project at the exhibition opening party on 23rd of February. Nereku and Viňa will be there in person to talk about the inspirations and making processes behind their beautiful fashion pieces.
Shoe designer Nereku’s futuristic handcrafted pieces would not look out of place on an Alexander McQueen catwalk. He has combined his training as an architect with his family’s history in shoe making to create his amazing contemporary work.
Fashion designer Viňa has reinvented the concept of Maria Clara, a traditional female figure of inspiration in the Philippines. Viňa’s designs are strikingly elegant and her interpretation fits perfectly within a contemporary womenswear context.
